Here's the final art for the Boys' Life story I just finished. I have to thank my art director Scott Feaster for such a generous deadline. It really gave me time to explore some nuances with Photoshop. I think this one captures some fun textures and atmosphere.Compare to the previous sketch/comp that I posted to see how it progressed from start to finish.
Thanks guys, I had a good time with the atmospheric effects. A little bit different for me, but I think successful, and Will, aside from the sketch I scanned in (some of which peeks through) I did it all in Photoshop.
I have been making art for as long as I can remember. These days I work in acrylic paint or Photoshop when creating illustrations for magazines, children's book publishers and advertising clients. My recent passion is Plein Air oil painting.

I really like this one. You held back the reigns on color (rich color being one of your many strong points) and it has a great atmosphere. Way to go.
Fantastic!
Love this brother! Especially the atmospheric background.
WOW! really nice man! How much of this is digital? I love the color too.

Wow--fabulous!! We get two copies of Boys Life, so my boys and I will be looking for this and the one below!
Great image. I love how you have the objects flying and the sense of depth. Amazing that you did it in photoshop!
