This is the final approved sketch for my project for Liberty magazine. As I mentioned in my thumbnail post earlier, this article is about the faded convictions and slumbering values of Protestant America. I will now be taking this to finish in full color, but I have a few days before it is due, so today I am working on a private oil painting commission.
Beautiful sketch! And it's true about the story.... I hadn't thought about it in a long time. Rip doesn't want to take responsibility for anything, and so gets out of it. But that's not the way to make things happen in this world.
I have been making art for as long as I can remember. These days I work in acrylic paint or Photoshop when creating illustrations for magazines, children's book publishers and advertising clients. My recent passion is Plein Air oil painting.
